The 1-138 was an automated hauler transporting cortosis from Cloud City for the brief period it was occupied by the Empire Reborn to the Imperial Cairn Installation. After the defeat of Tavion Axmis by Kyle Katarn in the Battle of Cloud City, Katarn sneaked aboard 1-138 which took him to the Cairn Installation.

The name of the hauler is revealed in dialogue in a cutscene. "1-138" is a reference to THX-1138, George Lucas's first film, and a frequently occurring joke in Star Wars material.
