- ―2-1C
The 2-1C medical droid was a combat medic droid employed by the Galactic Empire. It was extremely similar in design to the FX-series medical assistant droid, but was designed for independent operation on the battlefield. It had a working vocabulator and a cruel, cynical attitude, a stark contrast to the eager, friendly IM-6 units used by the previous Grand Army of the Republic.
Behind the scenes
Edit
2-1C was also a non-playable character in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace video game. It was voiced by Harvey Jason. It is unknown whether this model of 2-1C matched the one in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds.
Like all the medical droids used on the "bad guys" side in Galactic Battlegrounds, the 2-1C have a sadistic love of torturous surgery.
The 2-1C droids in Galactic Battlegrounds were voiced by Ethan Phillips, who also portrayed Neelix in the series Star Trek: Voyager.
The 2-1C bear a striking resemblance to the droids of the FX-series, their model name however, seems more similar to the 2-1B surgical droid, a different model entirely from a different "In Universe" company.
