2-E was a green Model E nanny droid who ran a nursery on Kalarba along with his companions Q-E and U-E.

At some point prior to the Galactic Civil War, they were ordered by a townsperson named Vuldo to build illegal blasters, but the droids questioned his intentions. Vuldo responded by shooting U-E.
Q-E and 2-E then received help from C-3PO, R2-D2, and Nak Pitareeze and managed to expose Vuldo's scheme, and also save U-E since they had managed to salvage his cognitive theory unit and memory banks beforehand and thus, R2-D2 was able to install them on the body of a labor droid that had been constructed by Nak.
