229 was a B1 battle droid commander in the Confederacy of Independent Systems' droid army and stationed at Toydaria. He was instructed by Asajj Ventress to kill Jedi Master Yoda, in order to prevent an alliance between the Toydarian people and the Galactic Republic. The droid was eventually destroyed by Yoda while in an Armored Assault Tank.
