Much like 1138, 327 is a recurring number in the Star Wars films and Expanded Universe media, often related to spacecraft and landing zones.

1138 can be traced back to Lucas' first famous movie. However, the origins of 327 are not widely known, and its purpose remains a mystery to fans. However, it is interesting to note:

• 38-11=27
• 3x2x7=42

Also, in American Graffiti, one of the characters refers to a "327 Chevy."
