The 3NX-series Protection Droid was a model of security droid available during the Galactic Civil War. Despite their surprising sturdiness, the droid series was never a top seller, as they had a tendency to complain when shot. At least one 3NX-series Protection Droid joined the crew of a young smuggler at the time of the Iron Blockade.[1]

The 3NX-series Protection Droid first appeared in Star Wars: Uprising, a mobile game released in 2015. The droid model is one of the many crew members that can be used on Crew Runs to help collect useful items.[1]
