The 500-X was similar in appearance to the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle. It was unarmed, possessed a substandard navicomputer, and was said to be a museum piece by 9 ABY.[1]

They were used by the Galactic Empire, and at least one was used by the Kessel fleet. A Kessel fleet 500-X shuttle was stolen by Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Kyp Durron, who escaped in it to the Maw Cluster. When they discovered the Maw Installation, they gave their shuttle the alias Endor.[1]
