The 77th Air Wing was an Imperial starfighter wing that operated during the early years of the Galactic Empire. The wing was commanded by Captain Shea Hublin and was made up of four squadrons: Blade Flight, Dagger Flight, Scimitar Flight and Sword Squadron, which all flew Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighters. The 77th Air Wing participated in the Western Reaches Operation, a campaign initiated by Moff Wilhuff Tarkin to drive the Separatist holdouts from the Western Reaches region of the galaxy, and in 17 BBY the wing was deployed during a battle on the planet Kelrodo-Ai.
