The 88th Mechanized Assault Group was an Imperial Remnant battle group. This unit fielded light blue-gray stock century tanks during the Imperial Civil War^[2] that erupted in the wake of the Galactic Empire's dissolution in 4 ABY.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

An 88th Mechanized century tank miniature labeled as a "TIE Crawler"—another name for the compact assault vehicle—was featured in the Ground Assault expansion of the Star Wars PocketModel TCG, released November 14, 2007.^[3] The miniature's printed base stand listed balanced values and lacked icons for equipment or ability enhancements—such as the enhanced-blasters found on the 221st Mechanized Assault Group.^[4] This represented the 88th Mechanized Assault Group as fielding stock vehicles.^[2]
