8t88 was a silver-plated, humanoid-shaped mercenary droid with red, blue, and white sensors. Residing on[1] the moon[3] Nar Shaddaa, the droid was willing to negotiate changing loyalties[1]—at some point, 8t88 double-crossed a human and threatened them with a DL-44 heavy blaster pistol.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
8t88 was introduced to the new Star Wars canon by the 2018 Promise of Power expansion for Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: The Card Game with an identifying unit card[1] as well as an objective card;[2] both were illustrated by Martin de Diego Sádaba.[1][2] 8t88 originated in the 1997 Star Wars Legends video game Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. Voiced by Denny Delk, he was one of several main villains.[4]
