The 908th's HQ was the military headquarters of the 908th Stormtrooper Division of the Galactic Empire on the planet Borosk. A relatively small world, Borosk's defenses included orbiting ion minefields and planetary shields, plus heavy planetary-defense turbolasers and ion cannon batteries, all of which surrounded the base.

In 137 ABY, the 407th Stormtrooper Division out of Yinchorr, under the supervision of Sith Lord Darth Maleval, came to Borosk to eliminate the 908th Stormtrooper Division who had remained allied to Roan Fel. The ensuing battle saw the elimination of the 908th as they tried to hold their base.
