A variant of the AAC-1 hovertank, the AAC-2 hovertank, or Anti-Aircraft Combat Tank-2, had stronger hull plating than its cousin and had stronger weapons.

Rebel officers made good use of it during the Skirmishes of Yavin 4 when they were tasked with protecting a handful of rebel leaders. They were all destroyed during the engagement.
