The AP-300 Asteroid Prospector was an capital-size asteroid refining starship produced by Kuat Drive Yards. The Ap-300 was capable of mining asteroids and refining the metals found in them into high grade ores. Due to the dangerous environment they worked and their valuable cargo, such ships were equipped with heavy shields, a durable hull, and armament of eight laser cannons and four tractor beams.
