Description
Edit
Aayla Secura's Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor was marked with blue striping and modified for higher maneuverability during atmospheric flight. The craft was armed with laser cannons and proton torpedos, and used an astromech droid for astrogation and on-board repairs.[2][1]
History
Edit
Aayla Secura's extensively used her Eta-2 during the latter part of the Clone Wars. As a Jedi Knight, she commanded Clone troops in combat as a Republic General, yet on many intelligence-gathering missions and covert operations using her interceptor. Avoiding dogfights, she used her starfighter to protect Republic capital ships by orchestrating careful defensive formations and chaotic breaks that would throw enemy fighter screens into confusion.[1]
One such mission took her to Trigalis, where she assisted Obi-Wan Kenobi in his hunt for Asajj Ventress. Then, when the Jedi Council gave Obi-Wan permission to pursue Ventress to Naboo, Aayla lent her ship to him—along with the astromech droid assigned to her, R4-G9. Before he left, Obi-Wan promised Secura that he would bring the ship back "in one piece."[3][4]
Behind the scenes
Edit
While this ship has been officially identified canonically as Aayla Secura's interceptor, she has never actually been shown flying it in the Star Wars: Obsession series.[3]
