Ab'Bshingh was a planet in the Outer Rim Territories, home to the Farang and Waroot species, who fought each other continuously for centuries. At some point, the Imperial military strategist Crat Dakerno went to the planet to study the two native species.

Description[]

Ab'Bshingh was a planet in the Ab'Bshingh system, within the Sujimis sector of the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy, that was discovered circa 1000 BBY by the Galactic Republic.[1]

History[]

Ab'Bshingh was the site an enduring civil war between the planet's native rivaling Farang and Waroot species. Sometime during the Galactic Empire's reign, the Imperial military strategist Crat Dakerno traveled with a troop contingent to Ab'Bshingh, where he studied the two native species. Drawing on their tribal rituals and centuries-old tactics, Dakerno created the holo boardgame B'shingh.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Ab'Bshingh first appeared in the Star Wars Adventure Journal 8 short story "A Certain Point of View," written by Charlene Newcomb in 1995. Two years later, the planet was again mentioned in Gundark's Fantastic Technology: Personal Gear, a roleplaying supplement published by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, and in 2008, the planet received a brief entry in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
