The Abersaith Aviary was an exotic bird preserve located in an enclosed canyon and was one of Corulag's primary tourist attractions. The immense Abersaith Canyon was kilometers wide in spots and two dozen kilometers long. The aviary was home to some twenty million species of birds culled from a variety of worlds. Many were kept in specific artificial ecosystems separated by weak repulsor fields. The top of the canyon was separated by weak repulsor fields and enormous canopies of transparisteel.

Visitors were free to hike down the sides of the canyon, wander through its lush gardens, and tour its various crannies in rented skiffs. The aviary was not only a popular place for lovers but also a favored rendezvous for spies and scoundrels engaging in corporate espionage.
