The Abridon system was an otherwise unremarkable star system located within the Koradin sector in the Outer Rim Territories region of the galaxy, which contained the world of Abridon. It was on that planet that Luke Skywalker was captured by forces of the Galactic Empire; when Imperial General Brenn Tantor chose to defect to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, he and a number of stormtroopers loyal to him freed Skywalker and repatriated him back to the Rebellion.
