Abrion Major was a planet in the Abrion Major system of the Abrion sector.

HistoryEdit

Discovered sometime between the Kymoodon Era and Rianitus Period, the agriworld of Abrion Major joined the Galactic Republic, supplying member states with bountiful crops and other foodstuffs. Univolved in any wars during the Republic's earlier conflicts; it wasn't until it was absorbed into Hutt Space that Abrion Major also joined the Brotherhood of Darkness.^[1]

During the final years of the Republic Abrion Major was directly represented in the Galactic Senate by Esu Rotsino, while still under the control of the Hutts. When Abrion seceded from the Galactic Republic in 22 BBY, shortly before the Clone Wars it soon saw many pleas for aide, as many planets relied on supplies from the system.

At the rise of the Galactic Empire, Hutt Space's borders were drawn tight, releaseing Abrion Major to be controlled by the Imperials. While not playing a major role in the Galactic Civil War the Abrion sector was conquered by Grand Admiral Thrawn; upon his death it joined the New Republic. Avoiding future conflicts while a member of the Galactic Alliance, it had joined Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire as of 137 ABY.
