The Abrion sector was a sector in the Outer Rim Territories. It was an example of a sector that had swelled well over the original 50 system allocation for sectors,[8] containing over 200 agriworlds.[1] Planets in Abrion included Galpos II, Garban, Hefi, Hishyim, Intuci, Tieos,[2] Ukio, and the sector capital,[5] Abrion Major.[1]
During the final years of the Galactic Republic, the sector was represented in the Galactic Senate by Esu Rotsino. However, during the Clone Wars, the sector seceded to the Confederacy of Independent Systems, based on economic reasons relating to the export of its foodstuffs.[1]
During the Thrawn Crisis, the capture of Ukio was a serious loss to the New Republic, who relied on the system as one of its top five producers.

[edit] Behind the scenes
Star Wars: Rebellion incorrectly places Da Soocha, Cathar, and Abregado-rae in the Abrion sector. Da Soocha is in Hutt Space;[9] Cathar is in the Expansion Region;[10] and Abregado-rae is in the Core Worlds.[11]
