Ackdool was the Mon Calamari Commander of the New Republic Star Cruiser Mediator in 25 ABY.

Shortly before the outbreak of the Yuuzhan Vong War, Ackdool and his ship were sent to oversee the New Republic mediation of the Osarian-Rhommamool conflict. The Mediator failed in its mission because of the circumstances that every 10 years the planets Rhommamool and Osarian come close enough to each other that they can fire their nuclear missiles at each other. Nom Anor created a plan that would allow him to escape Rhommamool. Nom Anor hid an A-wing in a nuclear missile and it was launched at the Mediator after the nuclear assault had begun. The A-wing held Nom Anor and Shok Tinoktin inside it and after the missile had been launched, the A-wing detached from the missile and flew away from the heavily damaged Mediator.
