The Acquisition Division of the Jedi Order was responsible for taking Force-sensitive children to the Jedi Temple to become Jedi. Members of the Division were highly attuned to the Force and could sense its potential in others, using the Kyber memory crystal in conjunction with their own efforts. Usually acquisition agents took infants from their parents before they were a year old, to discourage them from building attachments to their families and cultures. However, there were exceptions, such as Ki-Adi-Mundi (age four), Anakin Skywalker (age nine), and Roan Shryne (age three), who later turned down a post within the Acquisition Division.
An'ya Kuro once worked as an agent for the division; it is possible Master Bolla Ropal was also a member as he guarded the Kyber crystal.
