Adas's holocron was the original Sith holocron, made by King Adas around 27,000 BBY. He learned how to create the holocron from the Rakata who had come to conquer Korriban, and whom he had driven off.[1]
Around the time of the Great Hyperspace War Lord Garu lost the holocron on Ashas Ree. Centuries later a fallen Jedi found it, and used its dark knowledge to conquer Onderon. [1]
Around 3,990 BBY, it was uncovered by Queen Amanoa of Onderon, who learned all the stored secrets. The holocron was then passed to her apprentice Novar to teach Sith initiates. The Gatekeeper of Adas's holocron, however, had a unique personality that could turn down the user's request or even threaten its user. Amanoa and the Naddists were defeated, and the Jedi hid Adas's holocron on the planet Kodai.[1]
Later Norval, a student of Murk Lundi recovered the holocron on Kodai.[2] Palpatine sent Carnor Jax's father to retrieve the holocron, killing him when he failed.[1] It was later taken to the Jedi Temple by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker in 29 BBY. The Jedi Council sent the holocron to House Pelagia's Holocron library.[2]
The holocron was subsequently stolen by Sir Nevil Tritum of the Mecrosa Order during the Great Jedi Purge.[1] Following the Battle of Endor, the Order gave the holocron to Lumiya. It is unknown whether the holocron was still in her possession when she died in 40 ABY.
In 40 BBY, Tionne Solusar incorrectly states in her records, that Norval found the holocron in 29 BBY instead of 39 BBY.[3]
