An Adegan lens was a type of lightsaber focusing lens that was in use[1] during the Dark Wars,[2] a string of conflicts occuring after the Jedi Civil War, which were fought between the leftovers of the Sith Empire and the Old Republic. The lens was constructed from Adegan crystals for use in a lightsaber, an energy-bladed melee weapon, which was used by members of the Jedi Order, as well as by Dark Jedi and the Sith. Although Adegan crystals were one of several crystals suitable for focusing lens construction, they were more commonly used as focusing crystals in lightsabers. When added inside of a lightsaber hilt, the Adegan lens caused the lightsaber to be much more powerful.[1] During the Dark Wars,[2] the lens was somewhat hard to find and could cost as much as 
7600 when it was found for sale.[1]

The Adegan lens first appeared in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, a video game produced by Obsidian Entertainment. In The Sith Lords, it was a lens upgrade for lightsabers that was placed in randomly determined places throughout the game, and it could also be constucted at a workbench by characters with a high enough Awareness skill. The Adegan lens provided the lightsaber it was added to with a large energy damage bonus.[1] The lens also had an entry in the Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords: Prima Official Game Guide by Prima Games.[3]
