Adin was a planet in the Expansion Region, located on the Corsin Run of the Hydian Way.

History

Discovered sometime during the Subterra Period, it quickly joined the Galactic Republic as the Hydian Way was blazed. As Republic fleets swept across the Hydian during the Jedi Civil War, Adin remained loyal, lending aide to the war effort.[1]
Remaining loyal during the Clone Wars, the planet joined the Galactic Empire at its rise in 19 BBY. An Imperial stronghold world throughout the Galactic Civil War, the planet eventually fell to the New Republic in 5 ABY. Recaptured by Warlord Zsinj in 6 ABY, and later falling under the control of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the planet was eventually forced back into the Republic when the Imperials were driven back.[1]
While a member of the Republic, few in the galactic community trusted the bureaucrats that the planets put in power. With the election of Senator Meido to the New Republic Senate thirteen years after the Battle of Endor, the planets dealings were closely watched by former Chief of State Leia Organa Solo. As the planet was invaded by the Yuuzhan Vong the New Republic could do nothing, as it was expelled from the Core. When the Hydian was recaptured at the end of the Yuuzhan Vong War, Adin was freed, quickly joining the Galactic Alliance. As of 137 ABY, Adin was a member of Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire.[1]
