History
Edit
Discovered by Galactic Republic scouts during the Subterra Period, Adner attracted hundreds of thousands of tourists when they established an entertainment-based economy, consisting of casinos, theme parks and pleasure houses. Run by the Adnerem for over two thousand years, the economy of Adner flourished over the existence of the Republic.[2][3]
It wasn't until the Clone Wars that Adner switched hands, pledging loyalty to the Confederacy of Independent Systems and Count Dooku. Annexed by the Galactic Empire once the Separatists were defeated, Adner continued to be a haven for gamblers. The Adnerem Etsero, an associate of Theol Dunoche[5], owned the biggest casino on Adner at the time, The Red Lisken.[4] Staying out of the Galactic Civil War, Adner was liberated from Imperial rule by the New Republic in 4 ABY as the fledgling government captured systems in the sector. The sector was held by the Republic through the Thrawn campaign, and it remained united through the horrors of the Yuuzhan Vong War, joining the Galactic Alliance at its birth. By 137 ABY however, the world was deep within space controlled by Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire.[3]
