The Advanced Droid Starfighter was a type of Trade Federation droid starfighter and the successor of the Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droid, Mark I. It had little advantage over the standard Vulture-class when in a planet's atmosphere. However, once in space, the Advanced Droid Starfighter was faster, more maneuverable, and possessed greatly enhanced firepower.
Behind the scenes[]
Advanced Droid Starfighters appear in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and its 2003 expansion pack. They are able to be built by the Trade Federation civilization in the game. Four of them provide reconnaissance in a non-canon simulation of the Battle of Grassy Plains.
