Advanced Droid Starfighter

The Advanced Droid Starfighter was the successor of the Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droid, Mark I. It had little advantage over the standard Vulture-class when in a planet's atmosphere. However, once in space, the Advanced Droid Starfighter was faster, more maneuverable, and possessed greatly enhanced firepower. It is perhaps surprising, then, that this model is not recorded as having been deployed on many occasions.

Since it has only ever been given one moniker, it is unclear as to whether the Advanced Droid Starfighter was identified as a continuation of the Vulture-class or was given its own class name, such as the Hyena-class droid bomber. It may also have been designated as the Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droid, Mark II, or perhaps as a later 'mark'.
