Advanced Recon Commando heavy gunners (ARC heavy gunners) were the vanguards of the Advanced Recon Commandos, making use of powerful, rapid-fire weapons.
History
Wielding high-powered rapid-firing weapons such as the Reciprocating quad blaster or the Z-6 rotary blaster cannon, they were the scourge of Separatist vehicles. Their specialized armor was equipped with a direct feed from their helmet's HUDs to their heavy weapons, granting them extra targeting capability.
A team of gunners assisted the ARC trooper squad during the rescue mission of the Jedi strike force during the Battle of Hypori.
Rail ARC troopers
A variation of the ARC Heavy gunners were the Rail ARC troopers. They also wielded Z-6 rotary cannons and were one of the trooper types found among the Anti-troopers. Anti troopers fought stormtroopers as well as Boba Fett on Kamino.
