The Advanced alacrity implant fine-tuned the user's nervous system, allowing for vastly improved reaction times and coordination over unmodified individuals. However, the success of this costly implant prompted some at rival Bavakar Medical Research Labs to call for its banning. It is unknown as to whether a ban had been passed on this device.

Behind the scenesEdit

The advanced alacrity implant made its first appearance in BioWare's video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. In the game, its only appearance was as a purchasable item in the inventory of Suvam Tan on his space station above the planet Yavin. It only appears in his inventory after the player character finds the last Rakatan Star Map. It was a level-three implant in the game and gave the user a very large bonus to his or her dexterity attribute.^[1]
