Agao was the capital city of the planet Bassadro. It was located relatively close to the Agao Ranges, a stretch of dormant volcanoes. Sometime during the Clone Wars, the Separatists claimed that the Grand Army of the Republic was responsible for the destruction of Agao-Nir.
