History
Edit
Discovered by Galactic Republic scouts during the Great Manifest Period, Aguarl 3 was contested by the Brotherhood of Darkness during the New Sith Wars, but ultimately stayed with the Republic as the Army of Light repelled the Sith. Remaining deep in Republic space for the nest centuries, the world would ultimately stay out of the Clone Wars, though it supported the Grand Army of the Republic during the fighting.[1]
With the rise of the Galactic Empire, the planet pledge support to the Imperial Senate, but peace was not to last on Aguarl. After the first Imperial attack on Dac, a number of Mon Calamari and Quarren Rebels established a base on the world. Princess Leia Organa of the Alliance to Restore the Republic was preparing to leave Kalla's Stanchion to visit Aguarl 3 to meet with Prime Minister Yenley approximately six months after the Battle of Yavin, but was delayed by a sighting of Imperial forces which forced the rebels to scatter their fleet temporarily.
Later the same month, Organa was inspecting the Rebel base on the planet when a Quarren spy betrayed its location to the Empire. Four TIE bombers from the Ravagor attacked the planet, but only one survived the defense system, piloted by Ranulf Trommer. Trommer's concussion missiles necessitated the evacuation of the Rebel base.
Brought back under Imperial control for the rest of the Galactic Civil War, the world joined the New Republic after it captured the Core. Avoiding the horrors of the Yuuzhan Vong War, the world had joined Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire as of 137 ABY.[1]
