Ainlee Teem was an Associate Planetary Representative of the Gran of Malastare in the Galactic Senate, alongside Baskol Yeesrim and Senator Aks Moe.

Teem was considered the frontrunner in the campaign to succeed Finis Valorum in the 32 BBY election. Teem was one of the candidates nominated to replace Finis Valorum as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic in the Chancery election of 32 BBY, presumably by a group of the Rim faction. Teem secured the backing of the Corporate Policy League, but lost the election to Palpatine of Naboo.
At some point before the Clone Wars a Dug called Jenatahza was wanted for involvement in an assassination attempt on Ainlee. Jenatahza earned a bounty on his head which was claimed by Jango Fett.
