Airten was a Human male sergeant of the Bespin Wing Guard,[1] the main security force of Cloud City[2] on the gas giant Bespin,[3] during the Galactic Civil War.[1] A burly Wing Guard member,[4] his large size prevented him from becoming a pilot; however, joining the Wing Guard, Airten's nonstandard build did not matter to Lando Calrissian,[1] the city's Baron Administrator.[5] Airten was a sympathizer of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.[1]
Personality and traits
Airten had light skin. He wore the standard uniform for the Bespin Wing Guard. He also wielded a blaster pistol.[1]
Behind the scenes
Sergeant Airten first appeared on a card for the Premiere set of Decipher's 2001 Jedi Knights Trading Card Game. His combat abilities are slightly better than average, according to his card's game statistics. The character was later given an entry in 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
