Aks Moe was a Gran senator from Malastare representing the Gran Protectorate during the last decades of the Galactic Republic. He was noted for his delight in bureaucratic minutiae and was a prime example of the inefficiencies of the late-form Galactic Senate.

[edit] Biography
In 33 BBY, Aks Moe was the co-Senator of Malastare along with Ainlee Teem.[3]
When Queen Amidala presented a plea for help from the Senate against the Trade Federation, Moe seconded the motion to send a survey team to Naboo to confirm the alleged attack. His obstruction demonstrated to Amidala the weaknesses of the body and she initiated a Vote of No Confidence in Supreme Chancellor Valorum.
In the ensuing political chaos, Representative Ainlee Teem, a fellow Gran, earned the nomination and support of Moe but ended up being defeated by Senator Palpatine of Naboo.
As the Separatist Crisis grew, Moe became a founding member of Palpatine's Loyalist Committee and, as a Militarist, was a vocal proponent of the Military Creation Act.
Moe was visiting the banking world of Aargau to meet with Banking Clan representatives to discuss possible funding options for a proposed Republic military initiative. Moe was boarding his staff speeder for a visit to the Commodities Exchange Cathedral in New Escrow. After the speeder had merged onto an automated expressway, its power plant overloaded and the speeder exploded. Moe's traveling companion and two Dug servants were also killed in the blast, along with the injury of eighteen commuters. After his death, Moe was replaced by Ask Aak.
[edit] Behind the scenes
In Episode I: The Visual Dictionary, Moe was mistakenly referred to as Baskol Yeesrim, who instead was his aide in the Senate. This caused much to confusion as to whether the senator was Yeesrim or Moe.
