Alamo

Alamo was the game engine designed by Petroglyph for Star Wars: Empire at War.
Prior to choosing to create their own engine, Petroglyph reviewed two other engines, but found them lacking what they needed. As a result, they increased their programming team, and created an engine of their own. It uses several higher-end shader effects such as soft shadows, specular lighting, and particle effects for dust clouds and explosions.
