Aldera Universal Medcenter was a twelve building hospital complex located in Aldera, the capital city of Alderaan. The AUM was equipped with the most up-to-date facilities for treating almost every known species. Known for its compassion of its patients as much as for its medical advances, no patient admitted to Aldera Universal was turned away if they could not pay.

Aldera Universal also included a medical school and a medical droid research and development facility. For a fee, people could study and train under the staff of Aldera Universal and become staff members themselves.
