The Alderaanian Council served as the government of New Alderaan and the survivors of the Destruction of Alderaan. It consisted of between one hundred and two thousand members, both professional politicians and members of Alderaan's merchant class. It was presumably the leadership body of the Alderaan Alliance. In 8.5 ABY, its' president was Threkin Horm.
