The Aldereen system was located within the Trailing Sectors portion of the Inner Rim.[2] The system was home to the Aldereenian sentient species.[3][4]

The Aldereen system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed the system in grid square M-14.[2]
