"Alex has been amazing so far. Star Wars is ultimately a realistic fantasy universe, which gives him a chance to design all new creatures, vehicles, etc., while still being very grounded and making it all feel lived-in. That was one of the hallmarks of the Original Trilogy, and it's always been part of Alex's style as well, so it meshes really well."
―Charles Soule[1]

Alex Maleev (born 1971) is a Bulgarian comic book artist who has collaborated with Charles Soule on the Marvel Comics limited series Star Wars: Lando. He has also drawn variant covers for the first issues of Marvel's main Star Wars series and Vader Down crossover event, as well as for the second issue of the Princess Leia miniseries.
