Algara II

Algara II (also called Algarian or Algar) was a planet in the Algaran system of the Dufilvian sector, located in the Mid Rim with a population of 1 billion. It was also the homeworld of the Xan. Alarga II was orbited by one moon, Tallakron.

The Algaran system, including Algara II, was well known for its huge and complex governing bureaucracy. No other information was publicly available without submission of a Form AA-23-7022 and a 150 credit processing fee to the Algaran Bureau of Planetary Information and Tourism.

The Galactic Empire attacked the planet at some point to drive off a Rebel Alliance presence.

The planet was the source of Algarine wine as well as the drugs Algarine torve weed and zwil. Zwil was especially addictive to Drovians. It was the base of operations for Wing Tip Theel, an expert slicer and former associate of Lando Calrissian and Han Solo.

The PC game Star Wars: Rebellion and Star Wars: Rebellion: Prima's Official Strategy Guide refer to the planet as "Algarian." Additionally, both place the Dufilvan sector (a misspelling of the true Dufilvian sector) and, consequently, Agara II, in the Outer Rim Territories.
