Alk'lellish III, also referred to simply as Alk'lellish,[3] was a planet in the Alk'lellish system of the Sumitra sector. It was the homeworld of the Lellish, as well as the dangerous carnivore known as the ketrann. Wilek Nereus hunted the ketrann at one point.

History
Edit
Discovered sometime during the Subterra Period, the planet was located on the edge of territories aligned with the Sith Empire during the Jedi Civil War. Remaining loyal to the Republic for the next several millennia, the world established itself economically by advertising the vast expanses of jungle as prime hunting grounds for galactic citizens.[1] After the death of King Alaric the whole sector including this planet, left the Republic and joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
With the establishment of the Galactic Empire, the citizens of Alk'lellish gave a share of their profits to the local Moff in exchange for the right to limit the number of hunters permitted to kill full-grown ketrann each season. The Imperial Wilek Nereus eventually attained the position of governor of Bakura, continuing to be paid off by the Lellish.[1]
After the death of Emperor Palpatine Alk'lellish III was swept up in the Imperial power grasp along the northern quadrant of the galactic disk. Under the rule of Warlord Zsinj, the planet would be drawn into Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo's confederation until the New Republic finally expelled Imperial presence from the region. After freedom from Imperial rule, the world was devastated by the Yuuzhan Vong War. As the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances began to bring the civilized galaxy back into order, the world accepted aid and recovered. As of 137 ABY Alk'lellish was controlled by Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire.[1]
