- "This is Palpatine's pet project, and it's a good one. He's worked his way through the tangled bureaucracy to get it off the ground. Now any world in peril can petition the Senate directly for funds through one central account. Palpatine claims this will stop the bureaucratic slowdown for relief to troubled worlds."
- ―Tyro Caladian, Senatorial Aide
The All Planets Relief Fund was a law that reformed the Galactic Republic's system for assisting worlds in need of relief funding. The new legislation was worked on by Palpatine, the Republic's Supreme Chancellor. After successfully passing the law in 24 BBY, Palpatine held a ceremony on the planet Coruscant to celebrate its success. The Slams gang attempted to steal the relief funds during this ceremony; this attempt was foiled by Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi, Siri Tachi and their Padawans. However, the attempted theft of the treasury was actually a diversion for an attempt to assassinate Palpatine.
The All Planets Relief Fund was a law that Palpatine, the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, passed in 24 BBY to allow any world in need of relief funding to be able to directly petition the Galactic Senate for assistance. Under this system, funds would be transferred through one central account. Supreme Chancellor Palpatine claimed that the law would help avoid the bureaucratic slowdown experienced under the previous system, where a world would have to petition several committees before they could receive relief funding. Response to the bill was generally positive; senatorial aide Tyro Caladian commented positively on the bill's merits.
In 24 BBY, Palpatine held a ceremony on the planet Coruscant to celebrate the success of the law. During the ceremony an attempt to steal the relief funding was made by the Slams gang, who were disguised as Senate Guards. The attempt was foiled by Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi, Siri Tachi and their Padawans Anakin Skywalker and Ferus Olin. Shortly after foiling the heist, Kenobi realized that the Slams' attempt to steal the treasury was a diversion for the actual mission: an attempt by the criminal Granta Omega to assassinate Palpatine.
