Alliance Credit

Alliance Credits were used as the official currency of the Rebel Alliance on worlds in open rebellion or with significant resistance movements, as well as between Alliance personnel and Alliance-related third parties. On worlds friendly to the Alliance, Alliance Credits were equally exchanged with Imperial Credits, while on less friendly worlds exchange rates of up to twenty five Alliance Credits per Imperial Credit were common.
It is unknown how the Alliance backed their currency, but certainly it controlled the value of the Alliance Credit by adjusting the interest rates of bonds such as Alliance War Bonds. Also unknown is if the Muuns were part of the minting process.
