Alliance Marshall

An Alliance Marshall was a rank within the Galactic Alliance military which was given to law enforcement officers and security personnel in the years following the Second Galactic Civil War. These individuals were given full legal and governmental rights to track the operations of the Alliance in order to ensure the safety of locals as well as interplanetary transport vehicles.
When Grand Master of the New Jedi Order Luke Skywalker was arrested and exiled on charges of dereliction of duty for failing to stop Darth Caedus' fall to the dark side of the Force, it was the Alliance Marshals who were assigned as observers that accompanied Jedi Knights on their missions. It was hoped that their presence and oversight would keep the Jedi in line to actions that the Galactic Alliance considered legitimate.
