Alliance Search & Rescue Teams were groups of Rebel operatives dedicated to locating and liberating prisoners of the Galactic Empire. The teams were responsible for the discovery of prisoners from Echo Base (Kupalo being among them) and their subsequent rescue from VTR-LX, where they were being held.
