The Alliance Starfighter Corps, also referred to as the Rebel Air Force, was the non-naval unit of starfighters in the Alliance Military. Ranks, like its predecessor, were generally the same as the army. Following the Declaration of a New Republic in 5 ABY, it was reorganized into the New Republic Starfighter Corps. It was well-noted that a majority of its fighters were -wing craft.
