Alliance War Bonds were bonds issued by the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War.

With the death of Bail Organa, the majority of his Alderaanian financiers left the Alliance short of funds despite the influx of new members after the destruction of Alderaan and the victory at Yavin. Thus, bonds were issued to raise credits. The curious characteristic of the bonds was that the countdown to their maturity was set to begin at the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War, making them an exceedingly risky investment. Regardless, many supporters purchased the bonds for maturities of between five and twenty-five years.
