[edit] History
Prior to the rise of the New Order, the Allied Tion was part of the Honorable Union of Desevro & Tion and Jaminere Marches, some of many fiefdoms that formed the remnants of the empire of Xim the Despot.[1] Most of the worlds of the Allied Tion were settled during the Expansionist Era or in the early period of the Galactic Republic.[2] Several battles were fought here during the Clone Wars when the sector was contested between the Separatists and the Galactic Republic.
The Warlord was assigned to sector patrol in the Allied Tion during the Galactic Civil War.[2] During the events following the death of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the Sector was under the rule of Moff Gronn.
The Allied Tion formed an independent government from the New Republic, probably as a dependent territory of the sovereign planet of Lianna, which had claimed independence from the Galactic Empire c.9 ABY.[3][4]
[edit] Astrography
The capital of the sector was Jaminere, but the best known planet in the Allied Tion was Lianna, home of Santhe/Sienar Technologies. Other planets in Allied Tion include Abraxin, Amarin, Barseg, Cadinth, Desargorr, Dravione, Embaril, Lorrad, Desevro, and Spinax III.[2]
The Perlemian Trade Route passed through the Allied Tion near Lianna, making the sector significant both as a trading hub and link between the Core and the Corporate Sector, and as a strategic area.
[edit] Economy
The Allied Tion was dominated by the Santhe/Sienar corporate family, based at Lianna. During the Empire, almost 15% of the galaxy's passenger liners hailed from the sector, presumably as part of Santhe Passenger and Freight.[2]

[edit] Behind the scenes
The Allied Tion is mentioned as an independent territorial government only in Pirates & Privateers, although the independence of Lianna is established in the Dark Empire Sourcebook. The likeliest interpretation is that Lianna and the sector surrounding it gained independence together.
