The Almera system was a star system located within the Inner Rim[1] and the Northern Dependencies regions.[2] It shared its name with the Pact of Almera,[3] an 899 BBY treaty that recognized the independence of the world Thyrsus from the planetary confederation known as the Echani Command.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Almera system was first mentioned in the Online Companion to[1] the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas,[5] which placed the system in grid square M-8.[1]

(backup link) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Pact of Almera in relation to the Almera system.
