History
Edit
Discovered sometime between 3,000 and 1,000 BBY, Altikar IV was part of the empire created by the Brotherhood of Darkness. The Galactic Republic, with the aid of the Jedi Order, managed to toss of the shackles of the Sith and liberated Altikar, bringing it into the Republic's protection. On the border of Separatist space during the Clone Wars[3], the planet was made a part of the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY under the direct rule of Moff Aricos Dreleene.[4]
During the Galactic Civil War Altikar IV became the home to the Human Jedi Jhor-Kai. Through the Force, he appeared in the dreams of a Twi'lek Force-sensitive named Sha'lia. She eventually escaped from her owner and traveled to the planet with the aid of fellow escapee Goort. On the planet, Jhor-Kai trained Sha'lia in the Force, and Goort in starship piloting. After a short time, however, Imperials tracked the Jedi to the planet and attacked. Jhor-Kai was killed by stormtroopers buying time for his students to escape the planet.[2]
The world was of little importance during future conflicts, escaping the wrath of the Yuuzhan Vong and the politicking of the Core Worlds. As of 137 ABY, Altikar IV was controlled by Darth Krayt's Empire.[3]
