Amar was the homeworld of the Amaran species in the Amar system.
History

Discovered by the Galactic Republic during the Great Manifest Period, Amar played no large part in the history of the Republic, remaining loyal throughout all large-scale wars.[2] As of the New Republic's reign, the native Amaran had a colony on Naboo, where they found jobs as merchants and salesbeings.[3] Following the Yuuzhan Vong War, Amar found membership in the Galactic Alliance. As of 137 ABY Amar was deep in Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire.
